by Emilia Mataix Ferrandiz

Dear all,

We are very excited to announce that the next Post-Graduate Research Archaeology Symposium (PGRAS) will take place on the 19th and 20th of May 2016 in Lecture Theatre B (Avenue Campus).

The call for papers for PGRAS is now open. The deadline for submission is the 13th of April 2016. Please send an abstract (no more than 250 words) to pgrsymposium@gmail.com using the attached form, saved as LASTNAME_2016.

Presenting at PGRAS is a great opportunity to showcase your research, improve your presentation skills and find out what’s going on in the archaeology department. Please note that presenting is compulsory for all full time 1st, 2nd and 3rd year PhD students. 1st year PhD students need to give their first year presentation at the conference – this is a condition for continuing into the second year of research. Part time students are required to present every other year.

Those who are unable to attend the conference can arrange to present their paper via Skype.

Of course, there will also be a logo competition this year! Send your design to pgrsymposium@gmail.com by 23th of March 2016, and perhaps it will become this year’s PGRAS logo. There will be a prize for the lucky winner!

Please contact us if you have any questions. We look forward to receiving your abstracts and designs.

Kind regards,

The PGRAS 2016 Organising Committee
